How a full-site SEO and content overhaul transformed Jaipur Living’s organic presence from the ground up.

Jaipur Living is a luxury handmade rug and home decor brand with a mission to foster inspiration through artisan-crafted pieces from around the world. Known for their quality, craftsmanship, and ethical sourcing, they carry one of the most extensive collections of handmade rugs available online, but their digital presence wasn’t reflecting the strength of the brand.
Over two years, I was brought in as their dedicated SEO strategist and copywriter, working across the full site to build the organic presence their brand deserved.
When we started, the site had real structural issues holding it back:
the goal
Build a comprehensive SEO and content foundation that would compound over time: increasing visibility, drawing qualified traffic, and converting that traffic into revenue.
The process
Started with a comprehensive review of the site’s technical
health, identifying broken internal links, 404 pages, duplicate meta
descriptions, duplicate content, slow page load speeds, and missing structured
data. Built a prioritized remediation roadmap before touching a single page of
copy.
Mapped Jaipur Living’s position against key competitors —
Loloi Rugs, Revival Rugs, Safavieh, Armadillo Rugs, Surya, and others —
identifying gaps in keyword coverage and opportunities to outrank in specific
categories.
Conducted extensive keyword research and added approximately
700 targeted keywords to their SEMRush tracking. Built a keyword strategy
organized by category. By the end of the project,
approximately 60 targeted keywords had reached page 1.
Wrote and optimized meta descriptions across the entire website — product pages, collection pages, category pages, blog posts, and core site pages. Every description was written to keyword standards while preserving the brand’s premium voice.
Built out keyword-optimized content sections for the top-performing navigation pages, creating the on-page copy that search engines needed to understand and rank each collection. These covered color categories, material categories, and construction types.
Rewrote and optimized the homepage, core collection pages, and key landing pages, incorporating primary keywords naturally while elevating the brand messaging and authority positioning.
Built out a complete blog category and tagging system, organizing content into six strategic pillars: Luxury Craftsmanship, Interior Design Tips, Style Spotlight, Rug Care and Maintenance, Industry News, and Designer Collaborations. Created the framework that would allow content to build authority over time.
Researched and wrote content pieces targeting high-opportunity informational keywords, including a comprehensive rug styling guide, Japandi design content, biophilic design content, and a 2025 interior design trends piece. Each piece was built to draw qualified organic traffic and establish Jaipur Living as an authority in the luxury home space.
Developed a full editorial roadmap, mapping blog topics across color trends, material guides, practical styling content, construction and craftsmanship pieces, and sustainability content. Topics were selected based on keyword volume, competitive opportunity, and brand alignment.
